Hideki Kamiya Leaves PlatinumGames After 15 Years To Pursue Independent Work

Hideki Kamiya announced his departure from PlatinumGames after "a lot of consideration based on my own beliefs."

Kamiya directed influential games like Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry, Okami, and founded PlatinumGames in 2006.

At Platinum, Kamiya worked on Bayonetta, The Wonderful 101, Scalebound, and new game Project G.G.

Kamiya "I feel this outcome is for the best. I will continue to create in my Hideki Kamiya way."

Kamiya plans to continue working in video game development after leaving PlatinumGames.
