Gas Prices See Steady Decline to $3.64 Per Gallon Amid Falling Oil Costs

Gas prices declined 12 cents last week to $3.64 per gallon on average, according to AAA.

The drop is attributed to falling oil prices amid reduced demand and Middle East uncertainty not significantly impacting markets.

Prices are down 19 cents from a month ago and 28 cents from a year ago.

Nine states now have counties with gas under $3 per gallon, with the cheapest gas in Georgia, Mississippi, and Texas.

September inflation rose higher than expected, with housing and gas costs having the greatest impact on the increase.
