Gas Prices Falling in California but Still Above National Average

Gas prices in California have fallen recently but are still higher than the national average.

The average price per gallon in California is now $5.83, down from $6.08 a week ago.

Wholesale gas prices are dropping nationwide by 6.9% to 10.8%.

Southern California counties have the most expensive gas, with San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles, and San Diego over $6 per gallon.

The cheapest gas is in Northern California, with Calaveras County at $5.51 per gallon.
