Google Rolls Out Lighthouse 11.2.0 Update With New Performance Scoring and Interface Changes for PageSpeed Insights

Google Lighthouse 11.2.0 is rolling out, bringing changes to performance scores and interface design in PageSpeed Insights.

The update includes an overhaul of the performance category with new scoring based on estimated impact.

PageSpeed Insights gauges will now align properly, and there is a new "explodey gauge" interface for performance.

Most changes are minor or esoteric, like updates to tests and thresholds. Users may not notice many differences.

Lighthouse 11.2.0 will appear in Chrome DevTools with Chrome 120 on December 5, 2023. PageSpeed Insights will get the update by end of October 2022.
