Google Shutting Down Jamboard Digital Whiteboard in 2024, Transitioning Users to Partner Apps

Google Jamboard, a 55-inch digital whiteboard, and its apps are shutting down in 2024. Google will transition users to partner whiteboarding apps like FigJam, Lucidspark, and Miro.

Jamboard launched in 2016 at $4,999. It allowed real-time collaboration on a "Jam" that was saved to Google Drive.

Jamboard devices will stop receiving updates on September 30, 2024. They will still function as basic whiteboards.

Google will bring the partner whiteboarding apps to Avocor's Series One and Board 65 devices as Jamboard alternatives.

Google will work directly with educational institutions to compensate them for their Jamboard devices.
