Google Commits to Long-Term Support for Pixel 8 with 7 Years of Spare Parts and Updates

Google will stock Pixel 8 spare parts for 7 years, part of their commitment to support devices long-term.

This includes making parts available directly to consumers for repair, likely in anticipation of upcoming right-to-repair laws.

The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are also promised OS, security, and Feature Drop updates through 2030.

Google does not currently offer repair options for the Pixel Watch.

Details are still unclear on exactly what the 7-year update promise entails for Pixel 8 users.
