Google Launches AI Image Generator and Email Drafting in Search
-
Google Search can now generate images from text prompts like "draw a..." or "sketch a..." through its Search Generative Experience (SGE) feature.
-
There are guardrails in place, such as not generating photorealistic faces or violating Google's policies. Generated images will have metadata labeling.
-
Google Images can also suggest generating images from search terms directly in the results. This works better for inspirational searches rather than specific characters.
-
SGE will now create draft emails too, demonstrated with an example of emailing a contractor to convert a garage to an office.
-
To access SGE features, you need to enroll in the beta and be over 18. Some features are still limited for younger teens.
