GOP Rep. Spartz Threatens to Resign from Congress This Year if Debt Commission Isn't Passed

GOP Rep. Victoria Spartz threatened to resign from Congress if a debt commission isn't passed this year.

Spartz has been vocal about the national debt and need for reforms.

Earlier this year, Spartz announced she won't seek reelection in 2024.

Spartz called Speaker McCarthy a "weak Speaker" during debt ceiling talks.

If Spartz resigns before her term ends, it will temporarily shrink the GOP's narrow House majority.
