Crypto hedge fund founder still missing after $3.5B collapse
-
Kyle Davies is the co-founder of Three Arrows Capital (3AC), a failed crypto hedge fund that lost $3.5B in investor money. He showed no remorse for the losses in a recent interview.
-
3AC filed for bankruptcy after making bad trades during the 2022 crypto downturn. Davies and his partner Su Zhu then went on the run from authorities.
-
Zhu was arrested in Singapore and sentenced to 4 months in jail. Davies remains at large and says he won't immediately return to Singapore. His location is unknown.
-
Davies recently launched another crypto company, OPNX, which was shut down by Dubai regulators months after launching.
-
Davies blamed the 2022 crypto collapse largely on 3AC's failures, but other major players like FTX and Binance also failed around the same time.
