• Several lots of Aruba Aloe hand sanitizer and aloe gel recalled due to containing methanol, which can cause health issues • Methanol exposure can lead to nausea, blurred vision, seizures, permanent blindness, nervous system damage, coma or death • Affected products include 12 oz bottles of Aruba Aloe Hand Sanitizer Gel Alcohol 80% and 8.5 oz bottles of Aruba Aloe Alcoholada Gel • Products were sold online in the U.S. through Aruba Aloe Balm's website between May 2021 to October 2023 • No reports of adverse events, but children and people ingesting it as alcohol substitute are most at risk
