The average monthly Social Security payment for retired workers will increase from $1,840.27 to $1,899.16 in 2024 due to a 3.2% COLA.

The average monthly payment for spouses of retired workers will go from $889.61 to $918.08.

Widowed mothers and fathers will see their average monthly benefit rise from $1,241.27 to $1,280.99.

Disabled workers' average monthly payment will increase by $47.58, from $1,486.83 to $1,534.41.

The average monthly benefit for children of deceased workers will go up by $34.15, from $1,067.20 to $1,101.35.
