EU Housing Prices Decline While Rents Increase in Latest Quarter
- House prices down 0.3% and rents up 0.6% in EU between Q3 and Q4 2023
- House prices up 0.2% and rents up 3.0% in Q4 2023 compared to Q4 2022
- House prices decreased 2011-2013 then increased again 2015-2022 before recent declines
- House prices doubled in Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Czechia, Austria and Luxembourg since 2010
- Rents rose in 26 EU countries since 2010, with biggest increases in Estonia, Lithuania and Ireland
