iPhone Users Targeted by Apple ID Phishing Scam
-
Scammers are sending "Reset Password" notifications to iPhones, trying to get users to click "Allow" and give them access. Dismiss the alerts without clicking.
-
The attack has affected iPhones, Apple Watches, and callers claim to be Apple Support afterwards. Hang up if you get a suspicious call.
-
If you click "Allow" you could get locked out of your Apple account. Never give access or info to suspicious notifications or callers.
-
You can change the phone number on your Apple ID to stop alerts. Turning on Apple Recovery Key didn't work for one victim.

Report scam calls to the FTC. Set up email aliases and VOIP numbers for extra account security. Stay updated on Apple's solution.
