Google Expands Bard AI Features, But Accuracy Still a Work in Progress

Google recently added extensions to Bard AI chatbot to connect it to Gmail, Docs, YouTube etc. Still an experiment though.

To use, create Google account and turn on extensions individually on Bard website. Tag what you want it to search eg. @gmail.

Manage expectations - Bard still makes mistakes like missing context and hallucinating info. Good for general search on topic.

Can provide writing feedback by identifying poorly written emails. But nuance is lacking.

More ground to cover before Bard is a trustworthy assistant. Search bar still better for finding specific things.
