Night City in Cyberpunk 2077 felt more like home than actual NYC does, despite finally moving here after wanting to for years.
Cyberpunk embodied my feelings about capitalism and my profession, and gave me a sense of queer community I lacked in real life.
Driving around Night City soothed my loneliness better than being in the culture shock of an actual big city.
I stare at NYC buildings in awe like Night City, but don't go in and explore like I did in the game world.
I'm still trying to find my place here and shape the city like I did as V in Night City.
