Man Restores and Customizes Cheapest Porsche 996 Turbo into His Dream Car

I bought the cheapest Porsche 996 Turbo on the market a year ago and have been happily driving it since.

I'm customizing it with period-correct wheels, carbon trim, and a GT3-style center console to make it my own.

Today I ordered a carbon fiber roof for $1,600 to replace the stock metal roof and save 70 lbs.

My goal is to make a lighter, more engaging 996 Turbo inspired by today's 911 S/T and 911 Sport Classic.

This winter it's getting a full makeover with custom Ocean Jade Metallic paint, exposed carbon, and a green leather/tweed interior.
