New Brightline train offers fast but bumpy ride between South and Central Florida
-
I rode on the inaugural Brightline train from West Palm Beach to the new Orlando Airport station. The journey took just about 3 hours.
-
The train was equipped with good Wi-Fi, power outlets, and complimentary breakfast. However, there was an initial delay in departure.
-
The scenery along the route was beautiful as we traveled through small towns and reached speeds up to 125 mph.
-
The new Brightline service provides a convenient alternative to driving or flying between South and Central Florida.
-
Safety remains a concern, as Brightline has had pedestrian fatalities. But the company is working to improve safety measures.
