Intel Launches AI Program to Accelerate AI Software for Upcoming Chips
-
Intel announced an AI PC Acceleration Program to help software and hardware vendors build AI features using Intel chips.
-
The program provides resources like AI toolchains, hardware, technical expertise, etc. to independent software and hardware vendors.
-
Intel is working with over 100 software vendors on over 300 AI-accelerated features. Major partners include Adobe, Zoom, CyberLink, etc.
-
The goal is to have a suite of AI-enhanced software ready when Intel launches its Meteor Lake chips with dedicated AI accelerators on December 14.
-
Other chipmakers like AMD, Apple, and Qualcomm also have neural processors, but Intel hopes its program will position it as the leader for AI workloads.
