Intel Unveils New 14th Gen Desktop CPUs with Speeds up to 6GHz for World's Fastest Performance

Intel's new 14th Gen i9 desktop CPU promises speeds up to 6GHz out of the box, making it the "world's fastest" according to Intel.

The i9-14900K has 24 cores and 32 threads while the i7-14700K has 20 cores and 28 threads, giving significant performance gains over previous generations.

Intel claims the i9-14900K is 23% faster for gaming and 54% faster for creative workloads like Premiere Pro versus AMD's competing Ryzen 9 7950X3D chip.

The new CPUs add integrated Wi-Fi 6E/7 and Bluetooth 5.3/5.4 support.

Pricing is $409 for the i7-14700K and $589 for the flagship i9-14900K when they launch October 17.
