Apple Unveils iOS 17 With Interactive Widgets, Enhanced Messages, Accessibility Features

iOS 17 was released on September 17, 2023 and is compatible with iPhone models XS and later. It brings new features like interactive widgets, SharePlay in FaceTime, and upgraded Messages.

Major changes include revamped autocorrect, new StandBy mode when iPhone is charging, collaborative Music playlists, and voicemails for FaceTime calls.

AirDrop upgrades allow easier content sharing by tapping phones together. Later this year, large file transfers can start on one device and finish on another via iCloud.

New accessibility features include Assistive Access to customize iPhone for cognitive disabilities, and Personal Voice to create a synthetic voice.

iOS 17 adds the Journal app to log life memories, along with features like offline Apple Maps, pronoun fields in Contacts, and Siri responding to just "Siri" instead of "Hey Siri."
