iOS 17 introduces StandBy mode, an always-on display for iPhone 14 Pro models when charging horizontally. Shows widgets like clock, calendar, and photos.

Upgrades to FaceTime include video voicemail and new AR gestures. Messaging gets upgrades like live stickers and easier contact sharing with NameDrop.

Enhanced continuity features allow interactive widgets on Mac, even without the same apps installed. AirPods Pro get Conversation Awareness and other improvements.

Typing is upgraded with better autocorrect and support for curse words. Live transcriptions for voicemails and voice messages are handy new additions.

Some announced features like Journal app for collecting notes/media and enhanced AirDrop are still to come later. Accessibility gets a boost with Personal Voice text-to-speech.
