The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are rumored to feature a vertical rear camera, removed mute switch, new Action and Capture buttons, faster A18 chip, more memory, better batteries and charging, and exclusive AI capabilities.

The design changes will include the rear camera arrangement to support spatial video capture, the addition of Action and Capture buttons, and slightly increased weight.

Processing upgrades are expected to include a faster A18 chip made with an enhanced 3nm process, up to 33% more memory, and an improved Neural Engine to power new AI features.

Battery life may be extended thanks to denser battery technology and faster wired and wireless charging support. However, the 16 Plus model may have a slightly smaller battery than its predecessor.
