Guest Makes Inappropriate Demands to Host

I invited an out-of-town acquaintance for dinner in my city. He said he would only come if he could stay over to avoid paying for a hotel.

I felt uncomfortable with his request to stay over and saw it as an "indecent proposal."

He said he didn't have time to "mess around" and wanted a commitment from me before driving 2 hours.
