FCC Unveils New Internet 'Nutrition Labels' to Increase ISP Transparency
• ISPs with over 100K subscribers now required to show "nutrition labels" detailing plans, fees, speeds, etc.
• Labels must show if advertised rates are introductory/temporary and for how long
• Labels must be easily accessible - can't hide behind multiple clicks
• FCC first proposed the idea in 2016, but rules requiring labels were introduced in 2022
• If an ISP isn't showing a label or the information is inaccurate, you can file a complaint with the FCC
