Israel Foreign Exchange Reserves Hit New Record High of $213.8 Billion
- Israel's foreign exchange reserves reached a record $213.768 billion at end of March 2024, up $6.947 billion from end of February
- This beats the previous record of $213 billion in December 2021
- The increase was mainly due to $4.858 billion in government foreign exchange activities and $2.265 billion in revaluations
- Despite October 2023 plan to sell $30 billion to support the shekel, Bank of Israel has only sold $8.5 billion since the war began
- Foreign exchange reserves have risen from $200.486 billion to $213.768 billion over the past 12 months
