JetBlue Implements Peak Pricing for Checked Bags, Raising Fees for Half the Year
- JetBlue introduced new "peak" pricing for checked bags, effective March 22
- Fees now range from $35-$50 for first bag, $50-$70 for second bag, depending on peak vs off-peak travel
- Peak dates make up about half the year, including summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Presidents Day
- Policy also impacted by previous $10 fee increase announced in February for bags checked within 24 hrs of flight
