Kavitha Seeks to Reschedule CBI Notice Citing Busy Pre-Poll Schedule, Offers Virtual Interrogation
• BRS leader K. Kavitha has told CBI to revoke or withdraw notice to appear before it in Delhi excise policy case due to her busy schedule ahead of Parliamentary elections.
• Kavitha conveyed she's unavailable to appear in person on February 26 due to one-on-one meetings scheduled over next 6 weeks across Telangana districts.
• She offered to appear virtually to answer CBI's queries, while expressing dismay at fresh notice under Section 41A CrPC when earlier 160 CrPC notice stands complied with.
• Kavitha states she has no role in accusations, so CBI doesn't need her assistance as case is sub-judice.
• She asked why CBI has now resorted to Section 41A when matter is already sub-judice before Supreme Court.
