Kobo Launches $149 and $219 Color E-Readers, Undercutting Amazon
-
Kobo is releasing its first color e-readers, the $149 Clara Colour and $219 Libra Colour, on April 30. They use E Ink's Kaleido 3 screens.
-
The screens have improved color saturation and resolution over previous color e-ink screens.
-
The Clara Colour matches the Kindle Paperwhite's price but has a color screen.
-
The Libra Colour has physical buttons, supports a Kobo stylus, and has a 7-inch screen.
-
These are cheaper than most other color e-readers, and Amazon has yet to release a color Kindle model.
