World Leaders Converge in Beijing for Controversial Belt and Road Forum

Hungarian PM Viktor Orban, Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed, and Chilean President Gabriel Boric arrived in Beijing for Belt and Road Forum.

The forum marks 10th anniversary of China's Belt and Road Initiative to boost trade through infrastructure projects.

Critics say initiative has burdened poor countries with debt from huge Chinese development loans.

Russian President Putin and Taliban representatives also expected to attend main forum events on Wednesday.

Xi Jinping and other Chinese leaders will host leaders from Africa, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Mideast at the forum.
