From Poor Immigrant to Tech Titan: The Rise of Innova Solutions CEO Raj Sardana

Raj Sardana grew up poor in India before coming to the U.S. and working his way up to start IT outsourcing firm Innova Solutions. It now generates $2.4 billion in revenue.

Innova has grown rapidly, tripling revenue since 2020, by acquiring struggling competitors for cheap and cutting costs. But profit margins remain low at just 2.7%.

Innova touts having U.S.-based contractors, but keeps costs low with offshore operations in India where half its staff is based.

Sardana believes Innova's reliance on U.S. talent will protect it from AI taking jobs, unlike competitors with large offshore workforces.

Though facing industry headwinds, Sardana remains optimistic, predicting "tremendous opportunities" from embracing AI. He says he welcomes the challenge.
