Meta's Threads App to Add Twitter-Like Trending Topics Section

Threads, Meta's microblogging platform, will soon have a Trending Topics section like Twitter. A Meta employee accidentally leaked a screenshot showing the feature.

The Trending Topics section will show the most discussed topics on Threads ranked by number of posts. It will be in the Search tab.

The leaked screenshot came from an internal version so the final public interface may look different. But the feature seems close to launching.

Threads recently added account switching and launched a web version for computers and iPads.

The Threads app is free on the App Store for iPhones running iOS 14+, while the web version is at threads.net.
