Microsoft Hires Inflection AI Founders to Lead New Consumer AI Division

Microsoft has hired Mustafa Suleyman and Karen Simonyan, co-founders of AI startup Inflection AI, to lead a new consumer AI division.

Suleyman will be the EVP and CEO of the new Microsoft AI group, reporting to Satya Nadella.

Simonyan will serve as chief scientist in Microsoft's consumer AI unit.

Several other Inflection AI team members are also joining Microsoft.

The moves come as Microsoft aggressively pushes into AI talent and technology.
