58,000 Pounds of Raw Ground Beef Recalled Due to Possible E. coli Contamination

On September 15, over 58,000 pounds of raw ground beef were recalled due to possible E. coli contamination.
The recalled beef comes from American Foods Group, LLC and was shipped to Georgia, Michigan, and Ohio.
The beef tested positive for E. coli O103, a harder to detect strain than the more common O157.
No illnesses have been reported yet, but symptoms typically appear 2-8 days after consuming contaminated meat.
This is the latest in a series of recent ground beef recalls related to E. coli contamination.
