Mortal Kombat 11's new patch introduces seasonal Fatalities that players have to pay for, frustrating some fans.

Leaked footage shows a Halloween-themed Fatality where you slam a jack-o-lantern on your opponent's head and kick it off in gory fashion.

Fans are upset about having to pay extra for Fatalities in a $70 game, calling it a "bad precedent" and "greedy business practices."

Mortal Kombat 11 gained notoriety in 2019 for an "oppressive grind" that encouraged spending money on in-game currency.

The patch also adds a free Halloween-themed arena variant, but it doesn't make up for the paid Fatalities in fans' eyes.
