Hundreds Line Up Overnight as New Costco Draws Crowds for Grand Opening Deals in Natomas

Hundreds lined up overnight for the grand opening of a new Costco in Natomas, Sacramento on Thursday. Many were eager for special deals and rare liquors.

Mayor Pro Tem says the store has been highly anticipated by the 30,000 Costco members in Natomas, will reduce travel times, and serve the growing community.

Costco enthusiast Elena Murray was excited for bourbon and whiskey deals. Shoppers came from across Northern California.

Ahead of opening, there was an invite-only event to tour the store. The mayor and chamber president say it looks beautiful and will attract more business.

Over 200 local employees were hired. The ribbon cutting ceremony took place at 730 AM on Thursday.
