New York Awards New Contracts for 4 Gigawatts of Offshore Wind Power
-
New York has awarded contracts to three new offshore wind projects that will provide 12% of the state's power by 2030.

The awards come after developers sought to renegotiate other New York offshore wind contracts due to rising costs.
-
The new projects are being developed by TotalEnergies, RWE, National Grid, and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
-
Together the projects will provide over 4 gigawatts of offshore wind power capacity.
-
New York is also committing $300 million to offshore wind manufacturing facilities planned by GE.
