Niger President's Son Freed from Detention, Leaves for Togo
- Ousted Niger President Mohamed Bazoum's son Salem has been released from detention by the military junta after 5 months
- Salem Bazoum was freed following mediation efforts by Togo and other regional leaders
- He has left for Togo, while his parents remain in detention in Niger
- The military tribunal said Salem's release is provisional and he must respond if called upon
- The junta continues to face pressure from ECOWAS to restore civilian rule after overthrowing President Bazoum last July
