OnePlus Launches First Foldable Phone To Rival Samsung and Google
-
OnePlus is launching its first foldable phone, the OnePlus Open, today. It will compete with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold and Google's Pixel Fold.
-
The OnePlus Open is rumored to have top specs like a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, 16GB RAM, quad cameras, and an 80W fast charging battery.
-
The Open's folding screen will be 7.82" and 120Hz. The cover screen will be 6.3". Both screens will have high 2800 nit peak brightness.
-
Pricing for the OnePlus Open is expected around $1699, making it slightly cheaper than the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Availability will start in India.
-
It's unclear if OnePlus can match Samsung's software experience and productivity features. Water resistance is also lower at IPX4 compared to Samsung's IPX8 rating.
