OnePlus Launches First Foldable Phone to Rival Samsung
-
OnePlus has launched its first foldable phone, the OnePlus Open, which appears to be a rebranded Oppo Find N3. It will compete with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 5.
-
The OnePlus Open has a 7.82-inch foldable AMOLED main display, a 6.31-inch AMOLED cover display, and triple rear cameras including a 48MP main sensor.
-
It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage, and a 4,805mAh battery with 67W charging.
-
The OnePlus Open ships with OxygenOS 13.2 based on Android 13 and promises 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security patches.
-
While not a "flagship killer", the OnePlus Open looks to be a strong rival to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and could spur more innovation.
