- LangSmith helps track and test code underlying AI prototypes so companies can better control and understand them
- LangChain started as Chase's side project in 2021; he incorporated in 2022 after OpenAI's ChatGPT released
- Recently raised $20M from Sequoia at $200M valuation, after fast-following earlier $10M seed round
