Oracle: macOS 14.4 Update Breaks Java on New Apple Chips, Update With Caution
- Oracle warned macOS 14.4 update breaks Java on Apple silicon CPUs, causing Java process to terminate without warning
- Affects all Java versions on M1/M2/M3 Macs, no workaround available
- Caused by how macOS 14.4 handles memory access attempts in protected regions, now responds by killing process
