Over $4.5 billion worth of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) options contracts are expiring today.

Expiry comes after a big week for crypto prices amid hype around a potential Bitcoin spot ETF.

Both BTC and ETH slipped in price today, falling below $34k and $1.8k respectively.

Options allow buyers chance to buy/sell an asset at preset price before expiration.

Major exchange Deribit will settle monthly options contracts for both assets at 800 UTC today.
