Palestinian American doctor protests Biden's Israel support at White House Ramadan meeting
-
Palestinian American doctor Thaer Ahmad claims he walked out of a White House Ramadan meeting with Biden to protest the president's support for Israel's actions in Gaza.
-
Ahmad states he told Biden that Gazans were "starving" and read a letter from an 8-year-old orphan girl begging Biden to stop an impending Israeli offensive.
-
Another doctor at the meeting, Nahreen Ahmed, corroborated Ahmad's account and said Biden appeared dismissive when told over 30,000 Palestinians had been killed.
-
The meeting was held after Muslim leaders refused to attend a planned White House Iftar dinner over Biden's stance on Israel.
-
Biden has sent mixed messages, calling for civilian protection but approving billions in new weapon transfers to Israel.
