United Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Denver After Mid-Air Wing Damage
• A United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Boston had to emergency land in Denver after damage was discovered on the wing mid-flight.
• Passenger Kevin Clarke filmed a video showing part of the wing visibly flapping and damaged. He and others heard loud noises upon takeoff.
• This is at least the 6th scary airplane incident making headlines in 2023 alone, including Boeing doors flying off, cockpit window cracks, and a plane catching fire.
• None of the 165 passengers aboard were injured, though the event was jarring, especially amidst the recent airplane troubles.
• The damaged United flight was rerouted to Boston on separate planes. Some question if now is an auspicious time to fly commercially.
