Pattonville High Students Win $10K for AI Tool Helping Peers Pick Classes
- Pattonville High School seniors won 1st place and $10,000 in WWT competition for creating AI model "Anchor" to help students pick classes
- "Anchor" uses AI to evaluate students' past academic records, class difficulty, future plans to suggest appropriate classes
- Students spent many hours programming the website and server for the AI tool
- Competition had 44 successful students with Pattonville taking 1st place, Bayless 2nd place, and Jennings College Prep 3rd
- "Anchor" aims to help underclassmen with no direction find guidance choosing classes, though some upperclassmen found it useful too
