Police in Japan Seize 1,000 Fake Pokémon Cards, Arrest 21-Year-Old Seller

Police in Japan seized 1,000 fake Pokémon cards from a 21-year-old suspected of selling counterfeits.

The investigation started after the suspect sold 4 fake cards for $1,250 total last year.

The fake haul included Japanese and English cards, including fake rainbow Charizards.

Police worked with Nintendo to confirm the seized cards were counterfeit.

The Pokémon Company is cracking down on fake card sales online.
