Polkadot Projects PolkaWorld and Brushfam Suspend Operations After Funding Frustrations With New OpenGov System

PolkaWorld, a major Polkadot community, was forced to suspend operations after its funding proposal was rejected.

PolkaWorld blamed Polkadot's new OpenGov system, where all token holders vote on proposals, for the rejection.

They argued OpenGov harms long-term contributors, unlike the previous council system of experts.

Another Polkadot project, Brushfam, also announced it's leaving, citing issues with getting funding.

This comes after recent Polkadot leadership changes, though the network has been attracting some big names like Uniswap.
