Nintendo has announced its holiday hardware plans for 2023, which include the return of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle and the release of two new Nintendo Switch Lite bundles featuring Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Nintendo will no longer be releasing new content for Mario Kart Tour, a free-to-play mobile game, causing the player base to likely shrink, despite the game's previous success in generating nearly $300 million in revenue.
The September 2023 Nintendo Direct will focus on games releasing this winter and could potentially include announcements for Super Mario Bros. Wonder, WarioWare: Move It!, Super Mario RPG, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, Batman Arkham Trilogy, Metal Slug Tactics, Demonschool, Fantasy Life i, the rumoured Gotham Knights port, Pokémon Red and Blue for NSO libraries, Metroid Prime 4, Silksong, and remasters of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.
Pre-orders for Mario vs Donkey Kong are now available in the US and UK, with the game set to launch on February 16th, 2024.
