Sony Announces Slimmer PS5 Redesign Launching in November, But No Price Cut or Stand Included

Sony has announced a redesigned, smaller PS5 that will launch in November 2022.

The new PS5 is 30% smaller in volume than the original model. There is also a new digital edition.

Sony is not lowering the price with the redesign. In some regions the digital edition is more expensive.

The new PS5 lacks a vertical stand. You have to pay $29.99 extra for a stand.

Overall the redesign is welcomed, especially the smaller size. But some decisions like the lack of a stand seem like gouging fans.
