Last McCormick & Schmick's in Portland closes Sunday, ending run for local seafood chain
- McCormick & Schmick's Harborside, the last location of the founded-in-Portland seafood chain, will close after service on Sunday
- The restaurant first opened in the early 1990s as part of the once rapidly expanding chain
- McCormick & Schmick's grew to nearly 100 locations after going public in 2004, before being sold to Landry's in 2012
- The Portland-based chain was founded shortly after Bill McCormick bought Jake's Famous Crawfish and hired Doug Schmick as a manager
- Landry's continues to operate Jake's two Portland locations as well as a McCormick & Schmick's Grill in Tigard
